Pete is the Principal and professional lead for Northeast Conservation Services. He brings over 20 years of experience in natural resource management, conservation and restoration. Pete is a Certified Wetland Scientist in New Hampshire and a highly respected project manager and conservation planner. He navigates and breaks barriers across multiple disciplines, most recently on infrastructure projects with partners such as the New Hampshire Department of Transportation and with municipalities alike. He has a winning track record securing public and private grant funding for priority projects during his 14-year tenure at The Nature Conservancy, where he served most recently as the Associate Director of Conservation Programs. Pete graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science focusing on conservation biology.

Nicole is the Senior Spatial Scientist at Northeast Conservation Services. She is a GIS professional, graphic designer, and science communications specialist with nearly 10 years of experience in conservation and natural resource management. Nicole enjoys combining her unique suite of skills to synthesize complex datasets to create accessible, engaging, and actionable products that effectively translate conservation science for a variety of audiences and purposes. After graduating from Hamilton College in 2015 with a degree in Environmental Studies, Nicole spent several years providing GIS support to The Nature Conservancy in New York and Maine. At Northeast Conservation Services, Nicole provides project leadership and support including geospatial analysis, cartography, data management and collection, graphic design, and grant writing.

Vanessa is a Spatial Scientist at Northeast Conservation Services. She started her conservation career as a GIS professional and has spent over two decades playing pivotal roles in science-based organizations, seamlessly transitioning from a biologist to operations and leadership roles. Along the way Vanessa served as the Director of Conservation at NH Audubon, where she leveraged her Master’s degree in Wildlife Ecology to advance research and conservation of Monarchs and other pollinators. Vanessa's commitment to long-term monitoring and STEM education has always been at the forefront of her work, underscoring her dedication to these critical areas. At Northeast Conservation Services Vanessa provides GIS services for conservation planning projects.

Assma is a GIS Fellow at Northeast Conservation Services.  She is currently pursuing her M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences and Policy at Johns Hopkins University. With a strong background in GIS, Assma specializes in geospatial analysis, data visualization, and environmental sustainability. Assma’s experience includes a pivotal role as a GIS Intern at the Stimson Center's Southeast Asia Program, where she developed and analyzed geospatial data to support the Mekong Dam Monitor and presented independent research on water governance in the Dead Sea area. She is passionate about transboundary water governance issues in the MENA region and applications of geospatial technology for international collaboration. Assma holds a GIS certificate and is proficient in ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and Google Earth Engine. Fluent in Arabic, Assma brings a global perspective to her work in environmental science and policy.
