Northeast Conservation Services supported the Town of Wellesley's Natural Resource Commission to develop their 2026 Land Conservation Plan.
We compiled natural resource data from local, state, and federal sources and shared it with the community at a public Charrette. We solicited input on natural resource protection priorities for the Town at the Charette and built that input into a geospatial prioritization analysis.
Deliverables included an ArcGIS Online-based interactive map viewer and the Land Conservation Plan designed for both digital and print use. The viewer provides access to conservation target data layers, such as forests, water quality, and wildlife habitat areas, as well as the prioritized results. We worked closely with the Natural Resource Commission to ensure that project deliverables are structured and designed to best support the Town’s land conservation efforts.
